On 4/11/15, I went into the Costco in Merced, CA. I ordered a half pepperoni, half combination pizza. The cashier read my order back to me and it was correct. My sister was with me and she went to pick it up when it was ready. They gave us the wrong one, and they had...

Costco in Chesterfield, Missouri - Tire rotation takes at least 1 hour

3.0
Details
Costco is obviously not interested in making this "covered service" with any tire purchase convenient. It use to be you could catch them during a slow period and the guys would just do it while you stood there. Now you can be the only customer there (all service bays were empty) and it will be a 1 hour task. When I asked why I was told by the supervisor that I was free to purchase my tires elsewhere. I will next time. Unbelievable. Costco has succeeded in *** me off multiple times over the past few months (long return lines with one guy working and others standing around, selling products with known defects - a Brita pitcher - after installing the filter, the lid would not stay on) Moldy produce. They are off their game!

I got cheated by costco tire services. they keep my old good tire and put back the flat tire.

when next day i went there, I talked to nick, at citrus height tire center they just say this is not costco tire and i can't fix.when i asked about my good tire he just say i am not responsible for that, how i believe on costco.

may be next time they take out the engine and put back bad one and when we go they just say i am not responsible for that. look like they keep or sold my old good tire in stead of install, and just install the flat tire, This happen on 05/01/2015

Costco - Membership Review from Brisbane, Queensland

The nearest costco to me is brisbane. Which is 4 hours away. To be a tourist and be told that you have to be a member before purchasing and that membership costs $60 and expires before I can even out anything in a trolley is ridiculous.

Its a member warehouse. You have to be a member to shop there.

The membership is 12 months, and can be returned any time. This is not a regular retail store. It is also a private premises.

They have the right to set whatever rules they want, and these rules aren't new - they have existed ever since the very first store opened in the united states. You have to have an annual pass to visit a theme park - why don't you complain that they won't let you in for free either?

If you only wanted to look - sign up, get your card, walk around the store, then hand the card back and get your money back - simple!

However - Living 4 hours away - take an esky and a big car, buy up big, store it and you'll save a bundle.

I am writing this email with great disgust as well as heart-felt emotion for your company! I have been a loyal member to your store for over 20+ years . I have had my business posted as Business-of-the-Month, and have always (usual) had a good experience with Costco...

IF you are as well educated as you say you are, why don't you know that this isn't the web site for Costco? You are on a general complaint site.

As far as feeling embarrassed using your EBT card goes, and I highly doubt that the cashier loudly announces EBT as you check out. Are you aware that there are people who don't know what EBT is? On the other hand as far as feeling embarrassed is concerned, a lot will depend on how you are dressed, you can dress in your oldest, work in the yard clothes and people will think you are really low income, or if you dress in your business clothes, you could be shopping for somebody that is on EBT and is house bound. When I was a young mother and real judgemental I was in a store getting a few groceries and the lady ahead of me in the check out line was gorgeously dressed, real fur coat, beauty shop hair, heels, really nice jewelry and nice manicure.

When I went out to my car she was loading her cart full of groceries into a brand new Cadillac, with dealer license. When I got home and described her to my husband, who due to his job knew a lot about most of the people in the town where we lived. He told me that the woman I had seen was indeed wealthy and that she was shopping for a woman in her church that was completely housebound. Once a week she would go and visit the lady, do whatever shopping the woman needed and prepare some meals for the lady that could easily be reheated.

There is a very good possibility that you and your family member need to develop thicker skins.

Costco - TACOMA WA IS THE WORST OF THE WORST==PYUALLUP IS BEST

2.6
Details
Been there a few time and I have yet to meet any employee there with a good attitude or a friendly remark. They all seem rude and do not want to help. They have some young workers there with a attitude like they are doing us a favor. Most of the time I just see the workers BSing with each other. Puyallup Costco is 100 times better. It appears as Costco has relented to giving the High School drop outs a place to hang out and give them a pay check is doing very little work. The employees at Costco in Tacoma represent exactly what is wrong with Tacoma !!

Costco - Couldn't buy a pizza for not having the membership card (since when?)

about 6 years ago until 2 weeks ago i was able to buy pizza, hot dog, etc by going in to 2nd door which is a separated section for people who are waiting after shopping or people to buy 'costco pizza, hotdog, etc.' I tried to go in today and i was blocked. The guy who was guarding looked at me like some kid trying to sneak in and said, 'You can't go in without card.' so i said since when the system has changed? im just gonna buy a pizza. He just said the same thing again so i just turned back. I really liked costco pizza. it was one of my favorite pizza and now since the memebership card is needed just to buy some pizza, and i was turned back without any explanation, and the way guard treated me (starting at me like some kid trying to sneak in..) i think i am never going back costco for pizza. I mean im not going to buy membership just to buy pizza. so yeah you just lost one customer who comes costco for pizza almost everyday.

Costco tells me you don't need a card to buy prescription drugs - tell the door guard that's what you're doing. Although the food court might still require you to show one...

Costco is a private company that is open to members only. And as forehead says, they make little money from the food court. Costco food is cheap, and if you don't want to fork over $55 dollars a year to save money on food then bye felicia!

Costco is making little or no money from the cafeteria; it's mainly a perk for the paying members. So they might not be sorry to see you go...

Costco - Shopping Scooter Review from New Orleans, Louisiana

5.0
Details
I've been a Costco Executive member for more than 15 years, unfortunately I've become handicap and unable to put any weight on my right leg, so when I shop I desperately need a motorized scotter! So I made it a point to arrive at the store within minutes of opening, about 10:00-10:15 and all 4 of your fleet of scotters are already taken!! I can't believe that a company of this size can only provide 4 scotters for their handicapped customers?? Store location is in New Orleans La on Dublin ave. Please provide more scotters for your handicapped Customers?? TY..

Having all the scooters gone isn't Costco's fault, they at least provide some. I don't see how getting angry at Costco makes any sense.

Also, if you're old and retired, a convenient time to shop at Costco is right when they open.

Less crowd, more parking, much easier for someone who has a hard time getting around.

this isn't the Costco web site. You are on a general complaint site.

That being said, stores aren't required to furnish those electric carts for their customers. They do it strictly as a courtesy. IF you desperately need something like that, I am sure your doctor would be willing to fill out the paper work so that medicare/medicaid would buy one for you. The paperwork takes about one hour to do and you have to be with the doctor while it is being filled out.

IF you are so bad off and can't put weight on your leg, how do you get around when you aren't in a store that provides those mobility devices? By the way no store provides motorized scotters.

They might provide motorized scooters, but any store that I have seen them in, right on the device, someplace it says cart.
