Costco - Credit Card Review from Draper, Utah

Details
Short shipped (their term) on bed sheets I ordered online. Paid for two. Received one set wrong size. Returned via ups as instructed at store. Only received credit for one returned set, not the two I paid for. One and a half months of many phone calls and being told that it would be credited to my charge card in 3-4 business days. Lies!! Now they say the are "escalating" to the credit supervisor. Ha ha! I am very disappointed in Costco service. I think I will discontinue my membership next renewal. Not worth the headache for the prices they charge.

My issue with Costco, and it may be the reason for their reported 2%decline in sales, is the increasingly obvious lack of variety in their stores. Gone are the "toys for boys" items that used to be plentiful.

Now, no tools of any kind, no real electronics except for TV and a few other items. Where, at Christmas times past, the store had stacks and stacks of new electronic items, none can be found now.

The same is the case in every department.

No selection so no real need to go to Costco any more. Such a sad decline

Costco review: Food not fresh

Every time I purchase prepared foods from Costco I get sick to my stomach. A few days ago we had chicken and everyone got sick in my family. They say they make everything from scratch but I don't believe it because I see boxes of prepared foods when I look through the windows into the deli and bakery preparing areas. We bought a box of croissants for Christmas dinner and when my husband went to warm them up they had mold on them. I had just bought them the day before. I'm not a picky eater but we don't see the quality of what we are paying for.

Strange, I have not had a problem. Something else is going on here -- more investigation needed. Obviously, if you have had more than one bad experience, it is your responsibility to go elsewhere or prepare your own food at home.

Was your family medically diagnosed as being sick from the chicken? If not, you can't be sure all of you didn't have the good old fashioned stomach flu. There were several times when I was a kid that our whole family got the flu at the same time, or roughly the same time.

Johneen a door keeper is very racial. And was harassing me when I was asking for the parts of the product that was missing from the set of furniture I had purchased. But there was Kelly who was very helpful and so were 2 other guys who listened and helped us find the missing pieces.

I bought a case of Kirkland canned chicken, but found another product that was much better so I returned the chicken totally new and unopened, but didn't have the original receipt with me. They declined to issue store credit or cash back. Their return policy "guarantees customer satisfaction with a full refund". Yeah....right. Even more perplexing they couldn't pull up the history of my purchase. What the heck, did they delete it? Besides, it was KIRKLAND, the Costco brand. No ones pulling a fast one on them. They DO NOT honor your return with a full refund! If you shop at Costco, keep every receipt for at least 3 months!!!

This seems weird. I personally know that if you buy something with your membership card it is saved in their system.

There are only two ways it wouldn't appear.

1) Maybe you were with a friend/guest that day and use their card? Or 2) They never charged you for the canned chicken to begin with.

I'm so unhappy with Costco this Christmas morning. No gift s is under my tree because they have my Credit card tied up for 5 days for 6,000.00 but they canceled my hot tub order. They refuse to honor the $2000.00 off the hot tub that I thought I bought. Their excuse is because they didn't have my card on file but they sure do like to hold on to my money. They discontinued the sale and they didn't let me know that they were not going to accept my card. Thanks so much for a disapointing christmas

Costco - Shopping Bags Review from Nepean, Ontario

I went to Costco in Dr'ville, Québec yesterday and when I got to the casher with my 600$ dollar full loaded basket, they asked me if I brought my bags!!!???? I said no, cause I never add to before, and then she said :"Were sorry, but we have put in place a new policy in our store which doesn't allow us to provide boxes to package your purchases" It's either you bring your own bags or pick up whatever empty boxes you can find along the rows while shopping." I couldn't beleive it & got really frustrated! I just bought for 600 *** $$$ and they cannot give me boxes to carry my stuff!!! Honestly, I almost left my stuff there and go to show them how pissed of I was. After a long argument with the casher, they finally when to get me boxes but beleive I am not about to go back. If Costco cannot not provide me with supplies to carry my purchases...go to ***! You won't see me again!!!

I understand being frustrated when a policy changes and you don't know ahead of time so you are inconvenienced, but I would like to share something that seems to be a secret: it's not the cashiers fault, so please don't take your frustrations out with them. Yelling at, or arguing with the cashier isn't going to do any good because the cashier is not the one who changed the policy, and they won't have the power to change it back. If you were that upset about or, you could have voiced your opinion with a manager, who may actually be able to do something down the road.

Around where I live no stores even provide bags anymore. If you want your stuff packaged up in any way you have to bring your own bags or boxes.

I totally agree with bringing my own bags if it can help the environmemt issue...In that particular case thaught, tell me it's better that Costco drop their empty boxes directly in the garbages instead having their customers reusing it!!!! The though the basic idea was to reduce our consomption not to have us buy new "reusable bags" when empty boxes can be reused.

Yup the empty boxes can be reused but on a busy day when the whole staff is busy trying to make the lines go faster it's better to grab your own boxes . Gosh you people treat those employees as your personal servants bullying them for what some empty boxes.

How petty. And yes I m glad the store policy has changed where the member like any other grocery store should bring their own bags/boxes to pack stuff in.

Hello. I went shopping in Costco today at the SOBT location in Orlando Florida I want to say a Huge Thank You to the people who assisted me at the checkout. I was having a low blood sugar and could not think straight. The young lady at the register jumped onto action and has a few close by employees assist me by offering me a chaos and most important a soda to get my blood sugar to rise. I wish I had gotten all their names. The man who assisted stayed with me to make sure I was ok. He mentioned there was an emotee ar their location who haa the Sam condition. The woman who was assotinf him was also very gracious and kind. They were all so very concerned and made sure I was feeling better before I decided to leave. The young man who pushes my cart out and loaded my car was also super nice This is extreme customer service and that is hard to find these days. I am so grateful for the concern aeach of them showed. The cashier made sure I was well before I left. What a great experience. My Nam is Kimberly and I will be sure to go back and shop this store over and over and to Thank tour TEAM Members. Thank you

Costco review in Fort Myers, Florida: The Kirkland brand peanuts are with out a doubt the worst I have ever tried.they are extremely chewy,hard and almost tasteless. They need to go back to Planters which are always very good

This product is terrible as noted above tasteless hard and not acceptable. They need to go back to Planters which have always Been fresh.when you are going to remove a product you should bring the replacement food for your customers to try,had this been done your Kirkland brand would not have passed.I went to Sam,s club and picked up a can of the planters peanuts which I have bee eating for over forty years. These peanuts where fresh and delicious.i don,t know who tested the Kirkland brand but they certainly did not do a side by side taste comparison.

Costco gas bar spraying toxic pink spray

Costco Queensway Gas bar in Toronto Canada. Filling some gas and smelling this god awful chemical smell. I look and it's a Costco worker spraying some pink liquid on the ground by the pumps. She said it was safe and didn't smell. Maybe for her, she must be used to it. It was awful. Just there to get gas and got gassed at Costco. I think they should stop this practice especially when people are at the pumps. Not sure why they are doing it. I find it hard to believe that it is not harmfull. It was so strong. Wow.

The agent they are spraying helps break down the oil so that it does not absorb into the water supply or local drainage. It breaks down almost immediately.

It's almost 100% natural and the odor comes from gasoline when it's mixed but not toxic. If people did not spill their fuel everyday we wouldn't need to use it.

If the pump shuts off stop filling.. you would think that it's common sense..
