Costco - Cashier Review from Atlanta, Georgia

1.0
Details
I am a frequent costumer at my local Costco. Never had a problem, until today. Was at the cashier ready to pay for my items when one of the clerks started to throw my packages of chicken in a box. She did not place them in the box, she threw them as if disgusted with the product. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. Told the supervisor about it, only to have him explain that the chicken packages were wet and dirty, so please understand if the clerks don't want to handle them. Really? So you are not willing to handle your own product but expects us paying customers to deal with it? If it's that dirty, maybe you should have a talk with the health department.

Costco review in Lancaster, Pennsylvania: Worst Store Experience Ever!

1.0
Details
Just joined Costco today,....BIG mistake! The Lancaster Pennsylvania Costco is not worth mentioning let alone visiting, but it is my consumer duty to warn others before they waste their money. Let's start with the fact that they are only open until 6:00 on the weekends...guess they do not realize some people work. You cannot walk through the store without a membership ( I am confident they know that if you previewed their store, you surely would not pay for the membership ). The customer Service desk is at the Exit.....makes no sense at all. So when your very rude and unfriendly cashier needs assistance, she has to holler all the way down to the end of the store. Be prepared to have your customer service person talk on the phone while she is waiting on you, as that is what happened to us. I have been in customer service for 26 years and know how to treat a customer, customer service is definitely not Costco's strong point. They should be embarrassed about the layout of their store, the customer service of the store and their complete lack of willingness to accommodate their hard working customers by offering convenient hours. This was the first membership we bought for Costco and I can guarantee it will be the last!

They will refund your membership fee with no questions asked. I suggest you do that right away so that they do not have to deal with you any more.

Costco is one of the very few companies that can compete in the world market.

They must be doing something right, in spite of what you are saying. From one warehouse in the 1980's to competition for third largest retailer today.

I am sure with your attitude when you were in customer service your family did not mind you working late, as a matter of fact I am sure they loved it when you worked late because they don't have to deal with you. However has it ever occurred to your self centered bratty self that these employees would like to go home to their families.

Just because your family did not want you because of your *** attitude does not mean that these employees are not wanted by their families. That is why they close at 6pm on weekends, that is the time for family. As a matter of fact there were times when all stores were closed on Sundays(and I believe in some countries they still are) Also learn how to wait your turn. Stop acting like a five year old, perhaps the person is on the phone with another customer.

Learn how be patient and wait for her to get off the phone with the other customer, or let her multitask. Remember the world does not revolve around you. Just because you are not wanted by your family because you act like you are the center of the universe does not mean that other people do not want to spend time with the family working at Costco.

I doubt you will be missed. BTW don't join Sam's Club either because they have the same timings.

Costco review in Jacksonville Beach, Florida: Online computer order from ***

Tried to order a PC from costcorrupt and sign up for a membership to get discount. They had a problem confirming address verification, although the card and mailing address matched. Since we are renters (god forbid!) , they wanted landlord verification! He spoke with them and confirmed residence, but they had already cancelled purchase, holding 800$ for 4 days! Then they said we were ok to retry, but were to take out another 800$ before the other hold would clear! Did not have available funds due to their hold so we tried with another debit card from our other bank account. When we told them this go round we did not want a costco membership, they inadvertently cancelled the transaction AGAIN! Once again they have a hold on another 800$!!!! I am now in 1600$ hold limbo, and they had the nerve to ask if we would still like to purchase the PC, with the same card that has 800$ held up due to their stupidity! Since we don't have 2400$ in our accounts, we told them to F off. Do yourself a favor, regardless of the deal, DO NOT use Costco online ordering...nightmare!

I would contact the local warehouse and leave a suggestion for the buyer . Most times the buyers are not able to get the same price deals on the product or they have developed a Kirkland signature product which is either equal to or better in quality . This may not suit ur needs and hence leaving a suggestion is the best thing to do.

Costco review in Boise, Idaho: Brought a red velvet cheese cream filling 6.66LB 4 layred cake, but its snot at all soft. Its really hard like a bread loaf.

On 17th of oct from boise ID costco,we brought an 4 layered red velvet cake with cheese cream filling of 6.66 LB.It is written to be sell by 20th of Oct.After cutting on the very same day of buying, we found it is not at all spongy or soft.It does not taste whiling eating as a cake. It gave me a sense of eating a very sweet bread loaf.I have to *** it really hard then any other cake i have ever eaten.I paid 15$ for it & fell like it does worth half of its price.Really disappointed..

A little difficult to figure out exactly what is going on, but if you do not like it, take it back for a refund. You can't take it back after eating all of it, however.

I have always found Costco baked goods to be outstanding, but I do not like red velvet cake.

I bought one of their pumpkin pies that same day, and everyone here loved it -- gone already! Used too much of their 40 percent whipping cream as well!

Costco review in San Francisco, California: I JUST WANT A *** HOTDOG

after an super exhausting day of work and school, me and my boyfriend were hoping to enjoy a bit of good food at Costco. We were stopped and asked for a membership for the first time ever to just go sit down and have a hotdog. A simple $1.50 hotdog, we wouldn't even mind if we didn't get a drink! But this ridiculous idea of charging students and young people $50 for a membership to gain access to a $1.50 hotdog. THIS IS ***! NOT ONLY ARE THEY LOSING FUTURE CUSTOMERS BUT FUTURE PROFITS! Sincerely, The couple who wasted gas and time for a $51.50 hotdog.

Costco doesn't require a membership to use their food court or their pharmacy. I know...i work there.

Actually, I work there also and you DO need a membership to access the food court(unless it's outside.) The food court doesn't make us any money and is a benefit for our members only.

If you are a student, you should have read that this is a "membership" store. They may have failed to ask for your membership previously, but this time you were caught out.

One of the perks of membership is the $1.50 hotdog.

Not everyone values the membership and they will refund your fee with no questions asked. They are not losing customers, and Costco is one of the very few American companies that can compete in the world market.

Rule is rule. If Costco doesn't accept faxed script copy, then respect it.

Probably it's their rule to protect themselves from getting massive lawsuits. I don't see anything wrong with this.
