Credit on Account Missing

I had a Credit on my AMEX card over 350$ when it got transferred over to Citi it's all missing. I haven't activated my Citi Card threw it in trash as i saw it. But as i logged into AMEX got the contact # for CITI and I keep getting mails now from Citi without even activating my card. I reached out the customer service on CITI and had been working with them over a 4 weeks by now. And I always get the same message from them there billing department would contact me back. And sure they do which is an automated message. When I was really pissed during my last call CITI customer service was if you don't want to resolve your issue we are happy to hang up the call.

They keep cancelling my order after i make the changes they want and then out of stock on the 3 time,,,they suck will not renew my membership, What good is customer service, not at all, can not do anything to help except tell to replace order Plus you call and have to sit and wait thru add to talk to someone, don't they know my time is important also. They want to sell, but they can not take care of what you are trying to buy, endless circle of going thru the process again and again, should they hold the stuff for 2 or 3 days until you can place the oreder again, that would nice, but not Costco style

Not receiving citi credit card

I have been a loyal customer for costco for few years now and it's one of my favorite places to shop at or at least it used to be till the whole transition from american express to citi. It has been nothing but a nightmare to me. I had american express credit card through costco and that was the only card i used over there and i had no problems whatsoever and an awesome experience with customer service then my the end of april i received a letter saying that ill be receiving the citi card by the beginning of june and by mid june i won't be able to use the american express anymore and today kits the 12th of july and I still haven't received my card yet and i called the horrible customer service for citi bank more than 5 times and each time i stay on hold for at least 40 minutes before someone actually picks up and i go through the whole process of explaining that i haven't received the card yet and they would verify the address and say everything seems fine and they don't know why i haven't received it and they would tell me we would issue another card and you should receive it in 19 days and the same story has been going on for a month now and i still haven't received the card yet and they wouldn't even have the courtesy of apologizing or trying to trying to expedite the process so i would receive it faster saying oh we can't do that it was to be sent by regular mail. It has really been a nightmare and i want to know whose fault that is and who is responsible for all the hassle I'm going through and all the money and the benefits that I'm losing for not receiving the card and not being able to use the card. Everything was fine before the whole citi bank transition thing and i want to know what i did to deserve the horrible customer service that they are providing and not even knowing what happened and whats causing all that delay. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

No kidding. I haven't received my card yet and each time I call I get a different timeframe.

I'm trying to buy furniture that is in stock at the store right now but will lose the rewards. I've contacted Costco and Citi and everyone apologizes and says be patient...sure, while I'm the one out of rewards!

Thanks but no thanks Costco. We have a Sam's Club here that we may be frequenting a bit more.

Meat Review from Huntingtown, Maryland

The last 3 times I have bought meat pork and ground beef i get it home and its bad and only to find out they have double and triple labeled the meat. I spoke with them on Friday after i brought up 3 packages this way and the CS lady said this wasnt the first time she has dealt with this problem.

Well hello tell the store manager and fix the issue. Someone can get very ill and possibly die from bad meat. And to top things off its against the law and is a health code violation.

Think i might be calling the health dept on monday. So once again i will be back at costco today to return meat again.

The breathtaking decline of quality at Costco

I am continuously amazed at the level of abuse Costco dishes out to its customers and yet they seem oblivious to all the evidence that this corporation has nothing but contempt for its customers. Over the last seven years of shopping there I have been amazed at the constant downsizing of products, deceptive repackaging schemes, and lowering of quality of all food items in the store.

All as the backdrop for relentless raising of prices to boot. Years ago the quality of meat was very good to excellent, at a price, but the pork chops now have a mildly soapy flavor, the boneless chicken has numerous bone slivers and pieces in it making it imperative to chew very carefully to avoid swallowing and possible medical consequences. The ground beef and Bison has been cut with so much liquid it is squishy when squeezing the package and causes bowel and intestinal problems to boot. Also the Costco prepared food items on site like tuna salad ,chicken soup and others have often caused cramping and other problems soon after eating.

In looking at the ingredients to try to determine what could be causing the problems one is struck by the sheer number of unpronounceable chemical ingredients in these items, especially all the baked goods. I see the worst oils, all hydrogenated types, etc. No wonder there is a basic crisis in health and of course Health care in this country.

I can't believe how many of the non food items I purchased over the years (no doubt made in China) which seemed a good price at the time lasted a matter of weeks before stopping working or broke prematurely and in some cases were not fit for the intended use and thrown away almost immediately.

The clothes, which used to be high quality for the price are almost all super thin, see through 100% percent polyester *** that look horrible after the first washing and literally have to be tossed after not many more. Also, I have caught many items either out of date or close to expiration....many, and I check that before buying food items now. The repackaging and downsizing of amounts has really been breathtaking over the last 18 months; the amount of deception being practiced is shocking. To me, all of this (I could go on longer) is simply evidence of a corporate chain with nothing but contempt for the intelligence of its customer base it is remarkable so many people continue shopping there.

I used to spend 250 to 300 dollars on trips there, but I have found better prices and far higher quality at competing stores in my area on many many items and now go to Costco infrequently and spend little. Finally his will be my last year of spending 55 dollars a year for the "privilege" of shopping at this scheming, arrogant and conscienceless retailer.

Wow! Costco is not a place I shop anymore.

I have bought fish there on to occasions and had to throw it out because of the stench after opening the packaging!!

Also the Kirkland bacon shrinks so much because of the water content I had to fry the whole package just for one breakfast!! Way to go Costco!

Guest

Costco is declining as relates to value.

Guest

Ever since the new CEO, W. Craig Jelinek, took from James Sinegal the quality of a lot of items has gone way down.

As mentioned by the other posts, the meat used to be good no matter the cut. Then a few years ago they introduce "prime" and "choice" selection. "Choice" is terrible, it would be tough and tasteless; so I would buy prime. But then that became poor quality where it seemed they were labeling the meat as prime but it was actually choice.

Now I don't even consider buying meat from Costco.

Also they keep changing brands and selection that it's not worth getting anything there.

I just go for the basics like paper towels and toilet tissues, otherwise I don't buy anything else. I suppose it's a good thing because it saves me a lot of money.

Guest

Funny, I stumbled into this website about declining quality at Costco about me constantly griping to my boyfriend that the quality of the items, especially the clothing has drastically gone down hill the last 18 months - almost 2 years in particular. December 2014 he bought me a beautiful and tasteful diamond ring from there through the online catalog.

Just got a recent online catalog with three of the tackiest pieces of diamond jewelry I've ever seen! Just scanning a glance over the clothing now stocked at the store makes me cringe. UGLY clothing and VERY CHEAP. They used to stock designer clothing, at discounted prices that again, was tasteful.

Agree with other comment, store seems to be going in the direction of Walmart, and stocking clothing produced in China, and when they have the so called "designer" stuff they are "cheap bottom of the barrel" designer stuff. I have also notice drastic shifts in the demographics of people that shop at the one I have shopped at for years. Many new employees at the store I've shopped at for years that don't seem to know what they are doing. Running out of rotisserie chicken during the dinner hour, REALLY?

The floor manager completely oblivious to the fact that the sign said they stocked a particular size of a shirt we have bought previously there, and said that their store must not stock it, to which I replied, yes they have before because I've bought them there before. Asked if they were out of sharpie markers that were on sale, but apparently someone hadn't gotten around to stocking them out on the floor.

I've just shifted my buying habits spending most of my "warehouse" dollars to their biggest competitor right down the street. Just bought tires from them that I was quoted same exact tires at Costco for $59 more for a set of 4.....Michelins.......Weird a lot of this seems to coincide with Costco's announcement to discontinue their credit card partnership with American Express??????

Guest

The big red delicious apples are tasteless...The filet Mignon with bacon wrap around are not real filet Mignon meat....rubbery and tasteless meat....Stay away....Yes, the quality of their products has definitely gone down....and when they have a good product they switch it for their Kirkland brand and imitate the packaging....don't get fooled!!!!

Guest

Ground Beef is now yucky (used be good and tasty)

Socks wear out after a few weeks (used to last for months)

Clerks are rude and treat you like they are doing you a favor (used to be nice clerks)

Services are over priced (used to be the best deal in town).

I could go on and on.. but Costco sux.. I quit my membership and shop elsewhere now.

Guest

Strange. This has not been my experience.

Costco has been building more warehouses and increasing profits.

Other retailers not so much.

Guest

Just came home from a trip to Costco and had the same observation. There's been a serious reduction in the variety of products offered.

It's really not worth the membership cost anymore. Even though I had noticed the decline I renewed my membership and have regretted that decision ever since.

Charging a membership fee to shop there is a joke. Don't do it.

Removed all the Trash Cans? Really Mr Jelinek?!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Talk about the wrong solution to a very small problem. Which pencil head at corporate championed the idea that Costco should remove all the trash cans from the gas station?

Mr. Jelinek, I expect better judgment from you. Not every idea is a good one.

There's never been any area to clean your windshield or check the air in your tires or get some air; you have to beg the surly dude in the tire center. Now, they won't even let you throw away the napkin that you used to protect yourself from the filthy germy gas handle and key pad.

Come on Costco, every gas station on the planet provides trash cans. You are supposed to be a MEMBERSHIP CLUB. You are supposed to give us the illusion of being special! This really sends us the message that we're truly, plainly, just revenue delivery systems for your corporate bottom line.

I'm not even going to get into how environmentally irresponsible this is.

Short sighted decision if ever there was one. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

Well that is just ridiculous! Honestly, do they think the trash is just going to go away if there are no public trash cans?

Unintended consequences~ there will be trash on the streets instead!

Guest

Sorry Anonymous #118****, but I believe you are a Costco station employee! Almost word for word what I have been told by station attendants at Costco.

And I don't believe anyone would actually FILL a trash can rendering it too full for anyone else to put their trash in. The trash issue is one of the costs of doing business and EVERY OTHER gas station provides trash cans. Just as women forced bathrooms to put a trash can by the door by dropping their paper towels in a heap after using them to open the door, perhaps Costco needs to be persuaded to bring the trash cans back.

I also suggest finding a manager and asking EVERY TIME you go to the gas station or store.

Guest

AGREE 100%! I want to clean out my car and throw away trash when I get gas and you have removed the cans! I am offended by this and feel that you are not serving your members.

Guest

It's a new California environmental law. By 2017 no gas station in California will have trash cans. Costco is just doing it early.

Guest

I've seen people fill an entire can with the *** from their car and leave it too full for anyone else. It's Costco, they don't care, somebody else should deal with it.

Ugh. However, with the EPA rules and the hazmat laws pertaining to big companies, they probably had to go through the trash every time they emptied it to get rid of hazardous waste, like the gas additive container.

That's not feasible a dozen times a day. If Costco members would read a sign and cooperate with a request not to throw away those items they could keep garbage cans, but you know people would still throw away stuff that would earn the company a fine and contaminate their regular refuse.

Guest

I am going to start leaving my trash on the ground at every Costco I go to as a form of protest. I will put it in a bag so it doesn't blow all over but maybe Costco will get a clue as to what a *** decision this was!

Guest

Trash cans are removed from Costco gas station in Clovis, CA. It is indeed a very bad decision.

Guest

I filled up this morning in Tustin, CA and the attendant was trying to get the driver to take away his container of gas additive. The driver said, "You don't have a trash can" and proceeded to get in his car and drive away, with the attendant still holding the container waiting for the driver to take it. Obviously the driver was a *** but Costco should come up with a better solution.

Guest

Trash cans were removed because of the new CA state laws on organic waste in trash cans. With costco being such a high waste producer they did that to better moniter their trash.

Guest

Trash cans are removed from Costco gas station in Poway, CA. It is indeed a very bad corporate decision. I hope they reconsider.

Five weeks waiting for our online purchase of washer and dryer. We were stood up four times by their delivery company. We took time off work, removed doors moved furniture moved our vehicles EACH time and they've offered us $100 for compensation Mind you two weeks was the delivery time. We had to buy a washer for $300 while waited for Costco to deliver and they assured us we'd be adequately compensated. NOT

The Ignorance of Costco

Being that Costco is such a large company, one would think that their business executives would have some sort of brains. Well, in my case that proved to be false. Costco could help their sales by offering day passes to those who do not have a membership. You figure if they like it they will get a membership. Worst comes to worst, they spent a few bucks in the store as well as money for the day pass. But this is my story... I went to the Costco in Robinson Township in Pittsburgh PA. It's right down the hill from the mall. My mother, who has a full time job, was busy working. I am 16 and can drive myself. I took my sister (age 18) and a friend (age 17) to go pick up Pizza Bagels for lunch. The minute I walked in the lady asked if it was my parents card. I informed her that it was and that my mother was busy working and I just needed Pizza Bagels. She called the manager who kindly let me in but made it clear I was never to do it again. That's fine.. when my mother is busy working and cannot go spend money there I will not go next time. If they do not want my money, they won't get it. The idiocy of Costco is beyond me. I'm only 16 yet I'm wise enough to see the ignorance of a large company. They truly need to get their *** together. If I'm mature enough to drive a car putting my life and others at risk. I think I'm mature enough to come into your cheap *** grocery store to get food.

The membership agreement clearly states that the membership applies only to the member. It's not transferable and is not a family card of some sort.

The membership agreement that your parents voluntarily signed also states that no one under 18 can be in the warehouse without an adult member.

Teens aren't supposed to come in with their parents' card to get anything, and you're lucky they bent the rules for you. Instead of acing entitled, how about being grateful that they gave you a break?

You are a pain in the ***!

The manager let you in and bent the rules for you and yet you are complaining about costco. Next time I hope they throw u out

Forget service here

Called and called. Finally when I was there I was told by 'customer service' when I want my phone answered to contact the 'administrative offices' on the phone choice and ask for the dept.. I did that and got "Jeff" that transferred me to automotive. Was hung up on at automotive and tried to call "Jeff" back, but no answer on my phone. While my phone was still ringing (waiting for an answer from 'Jeff') I went to my wife's phone and called the same number. "Jeff" promptly answered the phone while mine was still ringing?!,,,really... This location needs an overhaul, starting with the upper staff.

Wireless Advocates Mistake is costing me early termination Fees with Srpint

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user May 10, 2016

Even the otter box installation on my cell phone failed twice. One time I have to buy another box and returned the old one.

Second time I have to do the same. I don't understand why they just simply exchange it rather then make me wanted to falsify the product...

Original review May 09, 2016
I have recently purchased phones from wireless Advocates and just like the statements above, I have returned my phone in timely manner within 10 days. But the associated made a mistake and didn't cancel the account with sprint in timely manner.

I noticed that in my account called sprint and they said they can't cancel it has to be costco who can cancel. So I called the costco wireless advocates and finally they cancelled the account. But it was too late. Sprint said since the account is cancelled outside of 14 days policy there is an early termination fee.

I am trying to get that reverse for the phone number and phone that was never turned on but getting run around from both costco and wireless advocates. Please help.

There has to be some lawer or class action against them. This is unethical.
