Costco in Gilbert, Arizona - Your consumers are horrible people

I am sorry that you have people who shop at your stores who would rather see you lose money and not be able to pay your employees than have you get rid of bad products. That book you got rid of barely sold a thing and cost you more money than it was bringing in. You even got rid of your personal brand of sodas for the same reason. All these people are going to go support child labor and sweatshops because you made a cost efficient choice. Hopefully, they will learn their lesson when they are in hellfire for allowing children and women overseas to suffer for their cheaply made clothes instead of supporting a business that cares for its employees.

I was mad until I read that the book only sold a few thousand copies in a month when their other books do that in a week or less!!! Then I kinda saw that it made sense. There are better things to be upset about lately!!

Communism and socialism are not the same thing. Go back to school, you ignorant tw*t.

It's not a movie.

It's a book.

Costco actually plans on selling the movie once it is released.

Ignorance is not bliss. It just makes you look retarded.

Costco - Book Review from Hemet, California

Put Dinesh D'Souza's book back on the shelf. Don't let your political leanings influence political discourse....you will face a drop in earnings...conservatives know how to speak with their wallet.

Hate to break it to you..... but it is taking money away from employees.

Did you take economics? Would you keep an item that didn't sell and keep it if you had a business? We can fill that spot with something that sells. We had that book for over a month and 6 sold.

You would figure more would since we have 400+ members per half hour, come into our store. But no, you mindless sheep are making a big deal out of nothing. We are not pushing political views on anyone.

The book just didn't sell and that's not the only book we pulled. We swap books every month-two months unless it keeps selling.

Costco has nearly 500 stores nationwide.

In a month, that book only sold 3600 copies.

Nationwide.

That puts it at about 5 books per store in a MONTH.

Why should a store have to hemorrhage money for a book?

5 copies.

In a month. It costs the store more than that to pay an employee for ONE day.

How dare a commercial company bow to political pressure. You ARE NOT here to tell people what they can read. The same freedom you have WE THE PEOPLE have. I boycott Costco and will encourage everyone to do the same! Sam 's Club will be my recommended place to shop. ...

I am not a member of Costco

And after this disgraceful display of anti Americanism I certainly will never be one.I can only assume that Costco

Was created by intelligence, hardwork and the American work ethic.Costco

Should celebrate Dinoush D'souza's book not denigrate.

It.America has afforded Costco

The opportunity to become what it is today!Who ever is behind this blatantly biased Act of stupidity should be Ashamed of themselves!!!pne

Costco in Woodland, California - Old drunk woman

I was at the woodland, ca costco today. I was in line for food at the food court and some drunk lady was flashing the food court employees. After she got her food, she then pulled her pants down and sat on the counter. That is disgusting since they serve food from there. The employees did absolutely nothing. They didn't tell her to leave or anything. I will never eat from there again, and I suggest no one ever eat from there. This is not the first time I have seen drunk people roaming around in there. They need to have a policy where they won't let drunk people in the store or if they do the management needs to get out of the office and do something about it.

Maybe they were working on having her removed. If she was as drunk as you imply, it may have been a safety risk for the employees to approach her, and their own safety is important.

If you noticed this woman's crazy behavior you should have removed yourself from the situation. I'm sure that management had already contacted the police, who are trained to deal with this kind of thing.

The problem with an alcohol policy is that you have to be able to prove that they are drunk when they enter the store. In this case, it should have been obvious but sometimes it is not.

I got harassed by a drunk guy at a Kroger once who followed me around, stumbling. But if you turned away everyone who seemed a little off, you would be settling discrimination lawsuits all day (in the case where someone thought someone was drunk and turns out they have a medical condition).

Costco employees have a no confrontation policy, but they are able to call a manager for help. That manager will call the police if nothing is resolved through him. They have security in their stores, plainclothes, but they are only there to stop shoplifting and don't have the rights to do much else.

The manager of the store I shop out is always out on the floor (everyone who has a red vest is also a supervisor, so probably 10 on the floor at all time).

It's sort of silly to boycott a restaurant because one customer is retarded- it's not the businesses fault.

If I boycotted everywhere that a drunk person has done something ***, I would starve to death.

Costco - Membership Fee Review from Princeton, New Jersey

Questionable policy. One week prior to expiration we were asked to renew our membership. We said not at this time. Costco in Fairfield NJ refuse to sell us liqueur unless we renew our membership immediately. I assume since my membership was still valid and within legal time of purchase to buy. Nope. Now we are definitely not renewing. What shame after being a member for 25yrs. Can someone validate this corporate policy? We did not renew at the time because our company had a deal and hope to renew through them.

When the cashier types in or runs the card, it will tell her/him if it is time to renew and won't give her/him a choice.

If you think that it has not been a year, then you can take it to membership and tell them that they card they provided has a flaw- or that their employee made a mistake.

If it is the card, they will make a new one for you and test it to make sure that it works correctly. You can get an day pass, as well, if the problem continues so you can shop while they track down the problem.

There is one exception to the alcohol membership rule and that depends on if the alcohol is separated from the rest of the store.

At the one I worked at, it was not. If it is separated, you do not need to be a member and can purchase regardless, but that will vary depending on the state and I do not know what New Jersey's law is.

We bought 2 large tv's at Costco & scheduled installation and pre paid for it.

Day of scheduled appointment-No Show, No Call. We called Costco & after waiting almost FIVE hours (scheduled 8-12,), called and at 12:40 were informed that the installer had booked the appointment, "he just couldn't do it". INFURIATING, UNPROFESSIONAL!

The costco woman was nice, but I took off work to wait for almost 5 hours, and then to hear, "sorry, he's not coming, and he booked it, but didn't come anyway".

First experience with Costco installation--BAD BAD BAD
