Going through a similar situation now. Ordered a refrigerator (available online only, 2-3 week shipping).
After 2 1/2 weeks, I called to obtain status (as we're a family of FOUR living with just coolers and no freezer)! Was told fridge was scheduled to be shipped from manuf (Whirlpool) TO delivery co on the last day of the THREE week shipping date. I called again after 3 weeks was over (as no one was calling me)!
and was told that due to parts inability, the estimated ship date is now SIX weeks (need to wait another 3 weeks)! And, a "resolution team member" will contact me AFTER it's delivered to discuss whether monetary reimbursement can be made due to the delay.
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.
