Inspiron 3148 - worst laptop- Wireless card just a junk I bought Inspiron 3148 from Costco. It looks nice but it's connectivity to Wifi is horrible. This laptop doesn't come with LAN port. Don't ever buy DELL. In the past they used to be good. but no more! Don't buy Dell laptops anymore. Even though they screwed up WIFI cards on their laptop, they don't anything about it. Blueberries and Strawberries; almost the same price as TJ's and you don't need to buy a big bag. Biscotti cookies; Their chocolate toped Biscottis at one time were great; now they've reduced the quality so much by making them half as dense and with half the nuts they are not worth buying anymore. Shrimp; They use the same description but they are now half the size and 50% more expensive. Costco has reduced the quality on many items to maintain a low price; it's an old trick by retailers. Add in a pricey membership and ask yourself; am I really saving money?

Laptop was overheating and shutting off. I dealt with it in that manner for several months until my screen broke recently. They will not take it back and are forcing me to use the warranty. I paid 100 for warranty and was specifically told I can return/swap out laptop for 3 years. They give you (90) days which is pointless: thr najority of electronic products fail after 4 months not 3. If I would have bought at bestbuy I would have my laptop fixed. Now I need to file a claim with Squaretrade snd send them my laptop, which I use for my law office. I know the law and they are liable msnufacturing defects. Now that the screen is cracked on top of the other issue they are screwing me

It is a fact that Costco has only a 90 day return policy on electronics. You have a manufacturers warranty on the product for a reason.

Use it! However, the return policy on other goods sold at Costco is a good one, one that can be used for the lifetime of the product. They will, most times, take something back without hesitation or question. It is just like any other store in some respects.

Ever try to return electronics to WalMart or Target? If you do not have a receipt you cannot do it, and you can only do it within a certain time frame.

So you know the law, do you know how to spell? In regards to Square Trade they will replace your laptop if it is unrepairable.

Best Buy would not have returned the product for you I believe the return policy is 15 days.

90 days is an extremely long time to allow returns on electronics when you look at other return policies.

Stores generally only have a 15-30 day return/exchange policy for electronics. Why would you think they could do something after six years?

That would be a manufacturers issue. Or you could find a repair shop yourself, but after six years you really can't expect the store to do anything for toy.

Costco review in Los Angeles, California: 90 day policy

The reason Costco changed their return policy to 90 days, the manufacturers used to give Costco full credit when they returned a tv to them,but the manufacturers all changed that. Now when costco takes back your tv,the manufactures do not want them back and will not give Costco credit. Costco now gets to sell it to a salvage company for 30 cents on the dollar. Before the policy change. Every year 2 weeks before Super Bowl the Costco I worked at would get no less than 30 Tvs back. People were getting their full refund back and buying a bigger tv,(for less then they paid for the old one)only to do it again next year.

My experience has been great when visiting Costco in Canoga Park. If I'm in a rush or expecting express service on a busy day - at any Costco, then it's not gonna happen.
