You might wish to re-evaluate your purchase of any of these extended warranties in the future. All they do is frustrate you and make money for the seller of same.

TODAY WENT TO COSTCO BY HOS-STATER SAN JOSE. WAITED ALMOST 10 MIN FOR PARKING. WHEN VEHICLE MOVED COSTCO EMPLOYEE SHOWN UP WITH CART AND SAID THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE. HE TURNED UP SIDE DOWN SHOPPING CART AND START FIGHTING. THEN CALLED COP ON DUTY THAT I WAS FIGHTING. WHOLE CREW AND MANAGERS CAME IN START HARASSING INCLUDING COP. THAT I COULD BE ARRESTED. NEXT TO ME CART SPACE WAS TOTALLY EMPTY AND EMPLOYEE STATED HE NEED THAT PARKING SPACE TO LEAVE CARTS THEIR INSTEAD OF DESIGNATED SPACE. I TOOK OFF AND NEXT STEP GOING TO CALL CO OPERATE OFFICE AND CANCEL 13 YEARS OLD MEMBERSHIP.

Costco not-so-hidden up charges

I had an eye exam and purchased glasses at Costco. The exam was fine, and the glasses are fine. So, why the complaint? Because Costco optical has a sneaky little practice of slipping in a charge for "anti-reflective treatment" that I didn't order. I noticed them do the same thing to other customers...chat them up about the weather, current events, etc., but never once ask if they wanted this "anti-reflective treatment" - they just add it to the invoice and assume we customers will not notice. When I picked up my glasses and noticed this charge (29.99), I asked to see the manager. I told him that I never requested or authorized this extra treatment to my lenses. He got rather snotty with me and said they'd take them back, re-order them, and I could wait another week - 10 days for a new pair. I told him that since they added the treatment without my consent, they should knock the charge off and give me the glasses. He very begrudgingly agreed, but only after I asked if the customers currently standing around knew about this little up charging practice of theirs, or if I should perhaps warn them to look carefully at their invoices before paying. So...Costco's glasses are just fine - it's their little up selling practice that you need to watch out for.

the lens price they quote you for includes that treatment already, as the AR treatment is typically bundled with the lens price. You probably did'nt pay attention till you looked at the itemized summary.

Its only 30 bucks, they arent trying to pull a "fast one" on you.

That same treatment is easily 60-100 bucks anywhere else, its chump change to Costco as Optical is a loss leader department anyways, and the employees are hourly not commission,. Next time just ask whats included in the lens they quote you for.
