Do not trust Costco 2-year Warranty on computers because they only offer telephone trouble shooting. They try very hard to avoid hardware repair.

My Dell computer had blue screen. I called Costco warranty service department. They asked me to unplug the computer and re-plug in, and asked me if the computer was working. I said yes.

They said that was all they could do. After that, the blue screen comes back every day. When I called again, they did the same "trouble shooting" all over again, and informed me that was all they could do. I insisted there must be some hardware issues, then they pointed out that they needed to delete everything in my computer first, including all the software and data before they looked into hardware issues.

I believe that would scare many people away.

They never sent technicians out to check computers and conduct necessary repair. I would buy computers from local stores next time for better services.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
