We purchased a Sony LCD TV for $1200.00. Timing control board / BU board went out after warranty ran out.

Parts are obsolete. Spoke to General Manager of the store. He informed us that he would not even discount a purchase of new TV, but we were more than welcome to purchase one that is on sale. This is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with.

It's not a bargain to buy a TV at Costco to save a few dollars when it's only going to last few years. I would definitely recommend shopping elsewhere. Maybe a reputable store. Will not be shopping at Costco anymore.

I recommend you do the same.

Reason of review: Poor customer service and bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $1883.

Costco Cons: Management behavior.

So... your product was past warranty...

good luck pulling that anywhere else. Why should Costco take a loss on your misfortune?

You did not say how old the Sony is, but Costco has the best support system in the business. Good luck with finding better.
