As a long-standing member of Costco, I want a QUICK RESPONSE!!!!! I am appalled at your Corporate decision to remove Dinesh D`Souza’s best seller, AMERICA, from all of your stores. Just because your executives have a *** allegiance to the deplorable Obama Administration, it is not up to you what your members/customers choose to purchase.

Until this disgusting decision is reversed, I will not step a foot into any Costco facility, and am today renewing my membership with Sam’s Club. I will be broadcasting my response to you to all of my many friends and acquaints. If this continues, I WILL NOT renew my membership.

Again, I EXPECT a reply to this deplorable infringement upon my personal choice by an Obama contributors/supporter!!!!!!!!!!!

The book hasn't even been released yet! What the heck is wrong with all you people.

It was released over a month ago. Are you really fighting something that you don't even know the facts on?

Jesus.

Hilary's horrible book sold over a thousand copies in ONE Costco store on ONE day.

That is 3 times what this book sold in a month. Google is a beautiful thing.

I like that people are copying that post.

"Yes, that. That is exactly right!" It is too.

A store should not have to lose money for a single book that barely sells at all. Nearly all of Costco's money goes to employees. This book is taking money away from their employees. Costco has a problem with that.

As it should.

People like you should shop at walmart with the rest of the people who don't care about the treatment of employees. Enjoy your sweatshop produced garments and child labor made coffee!

These are the same people who think that corps have religious rights, but when someone does something they don't like, it is wrong. Even though this is because the *** book sat motionless on a shelf and didnt sell and basically robbed the store.

Hines, I hate to break it to you but you are WRONG.....The book is not taking money from EMPLOYEES. You prob never took a economic class.

In addition, there is a list called BEST SELLER and why don't you pull it up and see how well the book is doing.

Finally, this is not about the book, it is about a company pushing a political agenda on its customer. Now go get your OBAMA PHONE, YOUR FREE BIRTH CONTROL(which you prob don't use) and your welfare check.

Hate to break it to you..... but it is taking money away from employees.

Did you take economics? Would you keep an item that didn't sell and keep it if you had a business? We can fill that spot with something that sells. We had that book for over a month and 6 sold.

You would figure more would since we have 400+ members per half hour, come into our store. But no, you mindless sheep are making a big deal out of nothing. We are not pushing political views on anyone.

The book just didn't sell and that's not the only book we pulled. We swap books every month-two months unless it keeps selling.

Free birth control, huh? Did the name Hines not tip you off to gender at all?

Really? Hines. Your complete lack of any sort of logic is actually a little painful.

Let me break down actual business economics for you.

It costs a store money to bring in items.

The item has to sell in order for it to be a profit. If you order a bunch of books and they don't sell (seriously, they sold 5 copies per store in a month....for a grand total of 50 bucks per store and a huge negative), then you don't make a profit.

You don't make a profit, your employees don't get paid. I repeat, you stop making a profit, your employees are not able to get paid.

The great thing about Costco is that it takes care of it's people. So that they don't have to be on welfare, unlike your blessed Sam's Club, which actually forces it's employees to get on food stamps to afford food (yes, they actually tell them that they have to get government assistance).

Don't be a hypocrite. Do a little research. Have an actual logical thought.

You might actually go places that way- and hopefully not Walmart Inc stores, because shopping there actually DOES support people being on welfare. Also, be a good little complainer and look up the other books that Costco pulled/cycled this month. This one was not the only one. Also, they have plans to carry the movie when it comes out, but of course, you didn't bother to research that because it doesn't fit your victim complex.

All you can do is randomly try to insult me (because apparently, birth control pills work on men. Who knew? Try again) and think that I am on welfare (which is hilarious, because with the way you talk and your obvious lack of education, it's pretty obvious which one of us is actually on assistance). Read a book.

Educate yourself. Stop spewing lies. And grow up.

Go shop at Walmart with the other brainless lying scandal starters who are supporting people getting paid so little that they have to rely on the government to eat. Now that is hypocrisy.

Keeping that book on the shelf cost them hundreds of dollars.

They sold 5 or less copies per store in a month.

It didn't sell.

They only sold 5 books per store in a month.

That is horrifically bad sales.

And you don't get why it was pulled?

It would literally be bleeding money from the company.

It is not a companies job to lose money for your personal beliefs.

Costco has nearly 500 stores nationwide.

In a month, that book only sold 3600 copies.

Nationwide.

That puts it at about 5 books per store in a MONTH.

Why should a store have to hemorrhage money for a book?

5 copies. In a month. It costs the store more than that to pay an employee for ONE day.

Costco never supported Obama. Their CEO who quit in 2011 supported Obama.

He was not even a part of Costco at that point in time (he endorsed and spoke for him in 2012).

They have a new CEO of 3 years who has not spoken on his own beliefs. You should really do some research before making ridiculous blanket statements not supported by fact or reality.
