Theyvwanted remains to destroyvevidence and protect themselves... an attorney should have hsndled all communications and requests and would have catalogued evidence forvlegsl law suit.

Costco is not ethicsl compsny at all. Give your loyaltyvto a family owned local store snd not bigvretailers who do not care about customer loyalty and correcting mustakes with heart after Gods own heart.

Lost order

Costco lost my order. Then said they would send another order. Second order never showed up either. No emails no notification. I spent three hours for several phonecalls to track my order. No result!!

Unfortunately, the vast percentage of both garage managers and employees are fly-by-nighters, most of whom are not fully qualified to work on vehicles, and know they can scam most ignorant owners (got a nail in your tire? gotta replace all four!

got a tiny hole in your muffler or a bolt came off its clamp? gotta replace everything from the manifold to the exhaust! bring your perfectly good car in for inspection? mysterious drops of fluid appear on the bay floor, so you gotta get something expensive and unnecessary replaced, assuming they even do that, much less do it right!).

Even with, relatively, high pay, most couldn't care less about the vehicles, never mind the people, they service. Cheating customers, cutting corners, using low-end replacement parts, are standard for the industry, especially among repair chains, that will higher virtually anyone off the street, while mom-and-pops and dealerships have somewhat higher standards, though, they, too can make mistakes (one once-trusted mom-and-pop said my mysteriously grabby-squealing brakes were fixed, but, as soon as he backed it out of the bay, it made the same noise; he hadn't even test-driven it; and that was for a loyal customer of over two years with three vehicles and about ten visits during that time; yes, he fixed it, immediately, but, he lost a customer). After having to deal with a slew of bad mechanics over the years, I decided that it's worth the extra money (i.e., higher per-hour rates and OEM parts) to go to the dealer for my cars. In nearly 5 years, I have yet to be given the runaround or otherwise scam me (i.e., insult my intelligence (I'm a backyard mechanic with over 40 years of experience, but, I can no longer do what I used to, not only physically, but, also, due to the complexity of modern vehicles)).

There is no watchdog, and only rarely will there be a "sting" operation to ferret out bad mechanics and garage owners, and, at least in my case, postal and e-mail letters to chain corporates have been ignored.

Costco is no different from any other retail chain in any regard. Thanks for letting me vent, though, I don't feel any better.

We received a check for executive membership reward gift. Got approximately 50-60 dollars. When we went to the store we were not allowed to use it because we waited too long. We hadn't went to the store because of Covid &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; we live about 100 miles from the store. We have received another check since then for $26.28, which we havent used yet. I was wondering if I could get another check to replace the one we couldnt cash. Thanks

I want to change my mailing address

After approx 6 weeks, Costco was still mailing the ads to my old address. I went back to the warehouse and spoke with a gentleman who said it takes approx 3 months for them to change my address in their system. Seems an excessively long time. But I guess it is what it is.

User's recommendation: Plan for a long time for changes to become effective.

Delivery

I spoke with the delivery people and I told them that if they deliver after 5 PM the receiving person will not be available. The delivery is scheduled to be between three and five if the driver arrives later than five they will not be able to deliver the item. I previously requested that the delivery be done earlier in the day but obviously, that has been an ignored. I can be reached at 914-715-****.
