Zip Fizz representative treating me rudely and differently for being handicap

I was at Costco in Meridian, Idaho on Monday, July 8, 2024. There was a worker there named Vienna who has been rude to me every time I come in.

I had no idea why; it didn't even occur to me that it was because I was handicapped... until this week. On at least five separate visits to Costco, I asked Vienna for a Zip Fizz drink and she refused. She rudely says, 'I'm going on a break,' and turns her back.

No pleasantries, no 'please check back later'. I just thought she had a cold personality. I didn't take it personally at first. On this day, I passed her Zip Fizz station coming in and she said, 'No Zip Fizz is available; I'm going on a break!' On my way to the register, I saw her station again.

I waited behind another couple being offered a bottle to go. Vienna was very friendly to the people in front of me. To them, she kindly offered, 'Would you like me to make you a bottle of Zip Fizz?' She was a foot from me and knew I could hear her being nice to the other people, she was even smiling. When it was my turn, I cheerfully said, 'I'd love a bottle, any flavor.' I was hoping maybe she was in a better mood that day.

I'm very friendly by nature, so I was shocked by her cruel reply. Vienna scowled at me, 'No, you can't have one. We're not doing bottles anymore.' I replied, 'But you just offered one to the couple in front of me.' Vienna retorted, 'That's because they are regular customers.' 'What do you mean?' I asked. 'I buy Zip Fizz regularly and have for many years,' I explained.

Vienna rudely snapped, 'I've never seen you buy one!' 'I buy them every month, I've purchased hundreds of boxes,' I said. She said, 'Nope, I've never seen you buy one. They've changed the rule, no Zip Fizz for non-buyers, so none for you.' I was in shock and began to drive away on my scooter, but she yelled after me, 'My God!' I didn't respond. I ignored her and went straight to an employee who summoned Jarl.

I reported this to him. Jarl said he'd speak with her. Looking back at all of my brief interactions with Vienna, I realize now that it must have been because of my disabilities. I'm very friendly and have never been rude to her, in fact, I once complimented her on her pretty name.

Clearly, she is treating me badly, and I've done nothing to provoke her. I hope Costco will address this immediately, as it may be happening to other handicapped persons.

I absolutely love my Costco and believe she does not represent the friendly workers there. Thank you.

Why would she care if you are disabled? It sounds like she believes you are taking advantage of free samples.

Food Court Pizza

Costco - Food Court Pizza

Dear Costco Management,

I appreciate the convenience and quality of the food court, but I've noticed that the current system for ordering and picking up pizza can be confusing and time-consuming. It would be helpful to have clearer instructions or separate lines for ordering and pickup, especially for customers who have already placed orders by phone. This could improve the experience for everyone.

Thank you for considering my feedback.

Sincerely,

Amy L.

User's recommendation: The food court can be confusing and slow, especially with ordering and pickup. Here are a few simple suggestions: 1. Separate lines for ordering and pickup. 2. Clear signs and instructions for customers. 3. Allow online payment with estimated pickup times. 4. A dedicated counter just for pickups. 5. More staff to help direct customers.

Tire Center

Is it worth paying extra for tires to achieve great customer service? Yes, it is!

My experience at the Costco in my hometown of Apex, NC was one that I will not forget anytime soon. I made an appointment and showed up an hour early, and one hour and 45 minutes later the car was still in the lot. I asked for my keys and left. Once home, I made another appointment for the next week and left work early, showed up 30 minutes early, and again the car was in the lot for 1.5 hours.

When I went to the desk to ask how long my car would be, the technician said they couldn't find my lug lock and would have to wait. There was no call to ask where it was, and no update until I asked how long it would be. I asked for my keys and left again.

I will not go back for tires at this center as the employees could not care less and the answer to the poor service was, 'Can we give you a gift card?' I do not need Costco money to make the problem go away. Fix the circus that is in the tire center of people who do not uphold your values!

I received a Costco brochure for an online and warehouse sale. There was a Coleman lantern in the brochure for 14.99, iwhen I went on line the cost was 24.99, a 60% increase in price

Original review updated Aug 11, 2024

I spoke with an agent and a supervisor, Joslyn who basically said online is more expensive. I dont mind paying a shipping charge as I do on paper towels, $3.00.

A 60% premium is outrageous. I for one will not do as much business in the future with Costco and maybe give up my membership.

I think Costco should be embarrassed at this performance.

Workplace harassment

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hello I was harassed by members of the Coeurdalene Costco in Idaho. I was working for instacart filling an order when one employee started following me and harassing me making it impossible to do my job while he was talking and he wouldn't stop.

He kept following me around talking trash in my ear. I was so frustrated I had to just finish the order without being able to find all the items the customer ordered and a little while later I got an email saying I was banned from working at Costco locations.

I'm going to sue you for workplace harassment if you don't make this right. In Idaho it is illegal to harass any worker while they are trying to work, especially when the harassment didn't stop and he kept following me around making it impossible to do my job instead of just help me locate the items.

Costco - Refund Spoiled Ground Beef - Image 3

Hi. I purchased 6 pounds of ground beef yesterday 12/29/23.

It was $25.10. When I opened it up the ground beef was spoiled and brown. I try to cut the brown pieces out but all underneath the top layer was spoiled.

I was hoping that I could get a refund. The packaging was deceiving because the top layer looked fine, but it was brown all underneath.

Unprofessional, rude service by Ewa Sherpa’s in the hearing dept

I requested a specific-sized cap for my hearing device, which I was leaving for cleaning. I was informed and did have to make an appointment for this service.

Ewa Serpas told me loudly that this was not allowed. She continued to shout that it would have to be noted in the computer. Okay, put it in the computer, but don't make another appointment. I left them; they were not cleaned, no new batteries were provided.

She is a nasty person. I was unable to take a photo because it's not working.

Tire Rotation

Costco - Tire Rotation

Appointment for my truck to rotate my tires at the recommended mileage.

Mentioned to the sales person to please have the technician adjust tire pressures to the manufacturers specifications of 60 psi for the front tires, and 80 psi for the rear. After driving home 3 miles into the trip, my low tire pressure monitoring system lit up showing roughly 57+61 psi in the tear tires 79+81 psi for the front.

Opposites of what I asked for specifically.

10 miles to home and I physically checked with my gauge each tire. All were as noted above. Called Costco and complained that this happens every time I go there with my truck.

This morning had to correct each tire as outlined my the manufacturer. Tried looking up complaints through Costco but there doesnt seem to be a link for that.

Consumer beware at this Flemington NJ store.

Preferred solution: Someone with authority call me and tell me this will be addressed.

User's recommendation: Check tire pressures before leaving

You might want to check the sidewalls of your tires to know the Maximum Inflation PSI pressure of your tires inflation. On many vehicles, 32-34 psi will work well, provide some cushion and not scuff or wear out the inner & outer tread prematurely.

My spouse likes to have more PSI such as: 38 to 42 psi in her Acura vehicle as her example.

If you put 60 or 70 PSI into your tires and they blow (explode) near your face and throat, that could end your ability to thrive. Wear Kevlar and Eye Protection in your case when you get near 50 PSI, Good Luck

Henok Khu

My guess is they check the air prior to rotating them, whereas they should be checking after they rotate.

Bad costumer’s service

Costco - Bad costumer’s service

I went to Costco and ordered a pizza, and was 10 minutes late to pick up my order (from a 40 minute waiting period) and was asked to wait another 30-40 minutes due to being late those 10 minutes because of a 300 dollar Costco grocery trip. I was completely okay with receiving a cold pizza and made that clear to the workers but they refused and demanded I wait extra even when there were other visible cold pizzas laying around.

After that I went inside to ask for customer service seeing as this wasnt my first time having issues with the food court pizza workers, and went to the item return center to ask for help.

While I was there (because I wasnt aware of where else to go for help) the woman at the front desk despite seeing me visibly angry was very rude, laughed in my face, and ridiculed me to other workers at the return center for not being at the right place to complain and ask for help. I feel very disrespected and disappointed as a loyal 10 year Costco customer.

Recent return at store.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Costco - Recent return at store.

Recently, I returned a fan to my local Costco. I purchased the fan online the week before.

The fan didn't work very well and wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi. Customer service scanned my fan and then my Costco card. I was asked no questions. I volunteered the reason for the return.

Customer service said my return would be 26.00 something and would I like store credit or? I don't recall the second option. I stopped her right there and said that's not what I paid. I paid 47.00 something.

She said you used a coupon. I said no, I did not. I said, do you want me to look up my order on my phone. She asked to rescan my Costco card.

Then came up with correct price at the same time I found on my phone.

This incident really concerned me. Wasn't what I paid, and how, displayed when my card was scanned???

Had this happened to me before, and I just wasn't paying close enough attention. Do they routinely do this to their customers???
