Costco - Unhappy customer service
I have been an Executive Member of Costco since they open the doors in ID.
I purchased a Back Home Select (stainless steel) professional quality "หcook top' from Costco "หOnline' about 5 years ago. The unit has 8 burners and is about 5.5 feet wide. The grill has infrared feature.
I had a custom grill Island built around this grill top to match the siding of my house and had stainless steel drawers and cabinets to installed to match the cook top. I contacted Coleman in seeking repair parts and was unsuccessful in getting any support. They offered a $465.00 gift certificate for any Coleman product if I sent them the burners- I suspect that there is a safety/explosion issue and they do not want a lawsuit. This unit was a discontinued model that Costco purchased in 2005.
I have over $4,000.00 in this project of which $1,000.00+ was for the cook top and delivery.
All of the ceramic igniters and the attaching metal in the grill have disintegrated and are now worthless- One half of the burners have turned to dust and the BBQ has been rendered useless and unsafe as a fire/explosion risk. I was shocked to find that a costco vendor did not carry repair parts. I patronize Costco because of their quality products and their warranties. I am writing to see if there is anything that can be done to help with this situation- this is a product that was represented as an professional quality appliance โ it is not in the elements โ it is in a custom island and in out of the weather and sun. I have never had an appliance that failed as quickly as this and Coleman is unwilling to help with the warrantee and does not carry repair parts.
I have contacted Costoco to no avail.... Hmmmmm

It has been five years since you bought the grill. Well, it is time to buy a new one.
