Christmas Dinner for family of 6 people. Costco boneless choice 7 pound Rib Roast cooked 2 hours 30 minutes to medium with internal temperature of 130 degrees.
The most solid tasteless tough prime rib I have ever ate. Appearance wise, it was juicy and nicely marbleized with a very small amount of fat. As for eating not worth the $9.49 per pound it cost. My wife has cooked prime rib for Christmas for the last 20 years plus, purchased a Wegmans, Acme, Shoprite and a host of other butcher shops with much better results.
Shoprite Angus at $5.77 per pound Acme at $3.99 and your $9.49 per pound, shame on Costco.
Shame on me for shopping at Costco! BUYERS BE WARE, NOT EVERYTHING AT COSTCO IS GOOD....................
